The Water Corporation is looking for creative Year 9 and 10 students to participate in the 2021 WA School’s Think Tank Challenge. Partnering with the Innovation institute, we are hosting one day workshops around Perth, Geraldton and Bunbury in May 2021.
Students will be challenged to pitch out-of-the-box ideas for encouraging the WA community to conserve water. Two semi-finalists from each session will battle it out in a final presentation held at Water Corporation to win $500.00 worth of educational resources.
The theme for 2021 is “Water – only use what you need".
Students will be encouraged to consider and incorporate Aboriginal perspectives and traditional knowledge into their solution. To assist with this, workshops will include a presentation on Water and Aboriginal culture, for students to learn about the cultural values and knowledge gained from Aboriginal people in managing this vital resource.
Workshop dates;
* Tue 04 May 21 City of Wanneroo
* Wed 05 May 21 City of Bayswater
* Thu 06 May 21 City of Cockburn
* Mon 10 May 21 City of Greater Geraldton
* Thu 13 May 21 City of Bunbury
Semi-finalists from each session will battle it out in a final pitch presentation held at Water Corporation on Fri 21 May 2021.
