WACE Course Changes

The CC Geography CAC has recently had some changes approved for our 2012 courses. The changes mainly impact on Stage 2 and Stage 3 courses. Check out the entire course document.

AGTA 2013 Conference

GAWA has indicated a willingness to host the January 2013 AGTA Conference in Perth. A Council sub-committee has been established to oversee this significant event. Planning is now well underway.

International Conference on Climate Change in Indonesia

If you're interested in attending a climate change conference in 2012, then this could be what you're after.

Geography Tutors

If you're a Geography Tutor then you may wish to forward your details to the GAWA office. The GAWA office receives a number of enquiries over the course of the year for tutors and GAWA is willing to provide your details to prospective parents and students.

AGTA Awards

At this year's AGTA Conference GAWA received two awards.

Winner - Senior Secondary Textbook : Our Global Future: the Geography of Planning Cities and Climate Change by Kathryn Ford and Norman Snell

High Commended - 2010 Examination Package - the Stage 2 and 3 Semester 1 and 2's examinations and solutions. Congratulations to  Norman Snell for his work on these packages.

GAWA Membership - Application/Renewal

The 2012 GAWA Membership Application/Renewal form is now available. The quality of GAWA's service provided to its members improves all of the time, whether it be with Professional Learning, textbooks, conferences or examinations. Compared with similar associations GAWA provides outstanding value to its members.

Please note there has been a modest increase in fees to cover running costs to service members and meet our AGTA affiliation fees.
